Profile:
During Mike's time at the University of Arizona, he became captain of the baseball team his senior year and was also a Valley College Summer League All-Star. After playing catcher in college, Mike was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals as a pitcher. There he was a pitcher on the High Class A Cardinals team, the Potomac Cannons. While signed with the Cardinal organization Mike played in the New York Penn League, the Midwest League, and the Carolina League. He then spent one year in the Independent League with the Allentown Ambassadors in the Northern League before coming down to Baton Rouge.
